Program Pricing & Booking
History is not meant to sit quietly behind glass
Indian Creek Historical Fashions offers immersive living history programs that engage audiences with underrepresented and human-centered stories from 19th-century American history. Using authentic period clothing, material culture, and research-based storytelling, these programs foster meaningful connections between past and present.
Programs are designed to be accessible, engaging, and adaptable for a wide range of audiences, including students, adults, and intergenerational groups. Each presentation includes opportunities for audience interaction and discussion.
To help institutions, schools, and grant writers plan and budget, we provide the following starting rates:
Living History Programs
Structured, in-depth presentations such as Women Homesteaders of Nebraska, Valiant Warrioress, Children’s Blizzard of 1888, The Great Rearrangement, and similar featured programs, starting at $450.
Workshops
Treadle sewing machine workshops, and other participatory educational programs, starting at $300
How Final Pricing Is Determined
Final fees are based on:
• Program type and length
• Travel distance
• Audience size
• Costuming and interpretive requirements
• Level of customization
Multi-day events, fashion shows, festivals, and large public programs are quoted individually.
This pricing model allows museums, schools, libraries, historical societies, National Parks, and tourism partners to budget accurately while still receiving a fully customized, museum-quality experience.
Distance-Inclusive Program Rates
To ensure clarity and ease of planning, engagements are quoted using distance-inclusive pricing. All travel costs within each tier are fully included.
Lodging Requirements
For engagements exceeding 250 miles (one way), overnight accommodations are required. Lodging may be arranged by the venue or included within the program investment.
Grants & Institutional Funding
Humanities Goals
These programs support humanities learning by:
- Encouraging reflection on whose stories are remembered in American history
- Exploring themes of identity, sacrifice, courage, and secrecy
- Connecting local and regional history to national narratives
- Promoting historical empathy and critical inquiry
- Audience Impact
Audiences leave with a deeper understanding of the complexities of the Civil War and a renewed appreciation for the diverse individuals who shaped American history. These programs invite participants to reconsider traditional narratives and engage with history on a personal and emotional level.
